REQUIREMENTS

• The applicant who qualifies for this award must be the child of a policyholder, whose policy has been in force at the date when the examination is taken, at the time of the granting of the bursary, and for the duration of this bursary unless the policy matures between this period.
  
  
• The policy must have been in force for at least one (1) year prior to the date of the National Grade Six Assessment (formerly SSEE) and remains in force as per (1) above.
  
  
• Bursaries would only be granted to children attending Secondary schools in Guyana.
  
  
• Application must include the following:
  1. Name of Policyholder
  2. Policy Number.
  3. Address
  4. Name of Child
  5. Copy of Child’s Birth Certificate
  6. Copy of Results slip

• Applicants with less than 75% of total marks will not be considered.

Conditions

• Policies being kept in force by Automatic Premium Loan will not be considered.
• One child of the policyholder will be eligible per a year.
• The child selected must maintains 75% pass rate during secondary school and at the end of every school year, a copy the child’s booklet must be submitted. Bursary will be paid for 5 years providing the child remains in school.
